We have set up a IRC Channel!
You might think, why an IRC channel?
The answer is simple.
IRC means Internet Relay Chat.
An IRC channel is a fun place to chat with the Admins and Players.
Besides chatting you can also report cheaters here to the online admins and get them banned right away.
And soon our admins will have full gameserver control from inside that channel aswell.
Players will even be able to type messages from in-game to that channel.
Admins will be able to kick and ban players from there.
I've also scripted a Tweakgaming bot that you can all use with allot of cool commands and soon some games if you guys would like it
We have just started this channel so it's pretty empty right now, please join and support us.
So what are you waiting for? JOIN US NOW!
If you are new to IRC, read the guide below. Please keep in mind that after this guide the program will automaticly join the network, log you in and join our channel. You only need to set it up once.
The Download.
The easiest to use IRC client is mIRC. This is a clean and simple chat client. A good way to start if you are new.
To download mIRC, click here: Download mIRC 6.35
There are allot of modifications to give mIRC a new look, but the use of it stays the same.
Here are some examples of some scripts.
NoNameScript. (works with mIRC 6.34, needs an update for 6.35)
Hix Script.

(This one is my favourite. Has Counterstrike sounds etc. Only problem is that it's not getting updated anymore. But it still works.)
The Install.
Installing mIRC is the same as any other program. Selecting an installation location and clicking next a few times.
Since you all know how to install programs I'm not going to spend allot of time on this. If you need help you can always ask me or others on the forum.
Starting up for the first time. (You will only have to do this once!)
When you start mIRC up for the first time, you will see this:

Connect
Full Name: This can be fake, has no use in the chat/program and can always be changed later.
Email Adress: This one can be fake aswell. This has no use in the chat/program and can always be changed later.
Nickname: Enter the nickname you want to have on the chat.
Alternative: If someone else is using the nickname you entered above, it will use this one.
Enable invisible mode. This will hide any personal info from other chatters.
Servers
Just scroll down to Quakenet and select the folder. When the Quakenet folder is selected, click select. This will select Quakenet as your standard server when starting up mIRC.
Leave all the rest standard, and click OK
Joining the network.
Click on the connect button. It is on the top left and looks like a lightning.
When you have done this, you will get a window popping up.

Disable pop up favorites on connect.
Disable Enable join on connect.
Close that window by clicking the big X in the right top corner!
Now it will never bother you again when starting up mIRC.
The next part is not really needed, but I suggest you do this aswell. Remember, you only need to do this guide once. After this time it's all becoming automatic.
If you want to skip the rest, just type /join #Tweakgaming to join our channel. Otherwise follow the rest of the guide and all you will have to do in the future is double click the mIRC.exe on your desktop to join the channel.
Create a Quakenet account.
Please keep in mind, the nickname you have at this time will be the account you are going to create. So if your nickname is poop, your account will be poop aswell. If it really is poop, it's not too late to change it! Type /nick newnickname to change it.
You are connected to Quakenet now, but you don't have an account yet. To create one, type: /msg Q hello your@emailadress.com your@emailadress.com
Your account is now created. Check your email for the mail you received from Quakenet. If it's not in your inbox, check your spambox.
Click on the link, it will show you your password. This is an automaticly made password so login to your account and change it.
Login by copy/pasting (for example): /msg Q@CServe.quakenet.org AUTH Gamer ogR4NIU!k9
The account here is Gamer, the standard password is ogR4NIU!k9.
When you succesfully logged in, you can change your password. This example shows a passchange from ogR4NIU!k9 to gamerspass.
Example: /MSG Q@CServe.quakenet.org NEWPASS ogR4NIU!k9 gamerspass gamerspass
You now have created an account and changed the password to whatever you wanted. Gratz!
Final step: Making it all automaticly.
Yes, after this step you only have to doubleclick mIRC.exe on your desktop to connect to the network, login to your account, join the channel.
Go to Options, it's the hammer next to the connect icon(The lightning, remember?)
Under the connect tab, go to Options.
Enable connect on startup. This will autoconnect to the network.
Click perform..., a window will pop up. Enable 'Enable perform on connect'. Just set it to All Networks since you are only going to our network/channel.
In the box below enter the following things:
/msg Q@CServe.quakenet.org AUTH youraccount yourpassword
//mode $me +x
/join #tweakgaming
No, it's not a typo! //mode $me +x is a script that will automaticly hide your IP and change it to your Quakenet account. It's not needed but safer for you!
For example, if I don't use it, it will say:
Reflex@d54C261E5.access.telenet.be joined the channel.
If I use it, it says:
Reflex@Reflex2170.users.Quakenet.org joined the channel.
The $me in it makes sure it sets it to your nick, whatever nickname you are using at that time.
Dont forget to change youraccount and yourpassword to the account you registered and password you set up.
We are done! Whenever you startup your computer, doubleclick mIRC.exe on your desktop and it will join the channel. Even if you are AFK or gaming, please stay in the channel. mIRC is a very small resource needing program. Your computer will not become slow and your games wont get less fps.
Thanks for reading this long guide, and be happy you only had to do this once! Have fun chatting with us!
