COUNTER-STRIKE: SOURCE UPDATE NOW IN BETA

Available immediately, Valve has launched an extensive update to Counter-Strike: Source, now in beta.

The update includes a host of new features and functionality developed in collaboration with Hidden Path Studios. These include 144 new achievements, a new domination and revenge system, player stats, and more.

This beta will run for a limited time, and once complete, the update will be deployed to all Counter-Strike: Source owners for free via Steam.

Maybe someone knows Day of Defeat: Source
CSS Bèta is like a mix between css and DoDS
It had the achievements and your steampicture before your name much earlier.

I like the Achievements, the pictures are only looking silly to me.
I didn't notice any more changes then that

btw you want it to get it work for Non-steam, am I right? or just steam without buying CSS?

It are just extra's for CSS, i've seen, it's not a game on it's own
so you should put the folder "Counterstrike source beta" in the same folder as the folder "Counterstrike source"
I don't know if any crack is needed.

I got css and steam, just the beta slots were full so now i'm trying to find a way to play css-beta without having an extra slot.

ok so where is the folder located? /steamapps/email/counterstrike source/counter strike source beta

Btw can u check for counter strike source beta .gcf files in steamapps folder?

can i have ur gameinfo.txt file in the hl2 folder? i need it to work

No problem
it is located at /steamapps/email/counterstrike source beta if you mean your name with email
I have no idea what you mean with gameinfo.txt.. which hl2 folder? in the hl2 folder in the CSS Beta folder isn't a gameinfo.txt

and the gcf file is 1.7 GB so i'm gonna compress is sometimes with winrar and then upload, i'll edit this post when done.

But if you're patient just wait for Beta to become full and every CSS owner will get a free copy.
