Time when getting banned: 27-07-11 11:36

Reason: It says iam banned by console for SMAC: ConVar sv_gravity violation?
Well were playgin sg_all_skill sombody choose the knife part level and then when it starts i got banned by console



As i can see in some forums they say if the sv_gravity will changed what it does on the knife level there get banned automaticly i think there is an mistake

if consol bans you, it means it has detected any kind of cheat. I'm not sure about this one, it could be a bug, I'll ask mats if it is, if not then your ban will stay for cheating ...

thank you for askin mats black booster well as you can see iam playing with my second account and the other got banned by you.
And if iam banned i wouldnt cheat again on second account that dont make sense.And it says in forum this is sometimes so

This happend allot on minigame servers.
because allot of maps have custom gravity.
For instance if you were to change sv_gravity from 800 to something non-standard i.e 250, people would be banned for Cvar violations.
Seems to me u tried changing something in your cvar or have custom things in your cstrike folder wich may trigger smac to take action.

also its kinda strange since hvn't seen allot of bans (perm bans) by smac for cvar violations

so lets see what mats thinks about this matter

Happychup we were playing sg_all_in_one_skill or something somebody took the knife map and in chat it says then always sv_gravity changed to 800 and were always jumping higher then normal and after this messege i got banned.
And in many forums it says its a bug

yes, i know ive been google'n the cvar violation. I'm just currious why you where the only one who got banned.
just wait for mats's opinion

I took a look at this.
We have an anti cheat client running on our servers this client checks everything of a player
it alse checks the client cvars because there are some cvars that can be used for hacking

sv_gravity in this case has nothing to do with hacks but his cvar has an unusual value
My guess is that this ban has to be lowered to some days or a week but nothing more

Cable please remove your autoexec.cfg and config.cfg in your steam directory or just remove steam and reinstall it to prevent new bans

Yeah i have some .cfg's 1.is something who lowers my fps
2. buyscript etc...
I just type autoexec in console and it loads everything but this is allowed on vac : autoexec

And peanut advise me to reinstall steam and this is what iam doing now.

Once you reinstalled CSS (not steam ) or just removed your autoexec.cfg and config.cfg like Peanut said, this should be fixed.
